SPARC Discovery Awards
The SPARC Discovery Awards contest was created in 2007, where contestants are judged on video submissions to promote the open exchange of information. The winner received the Sparky Award and a cash prize; the judges included Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia. The awards were sponsored by SPARC - the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition.
Star Global was selected to create the web page code and online entry form, and a third-party design firm supplied Photoshop documents for the graphics. Because of the exacting standards of the template code, were congratulated by the designer that they had never seen of of their designs implemented so well before.
